Unleashing
Potential
and Overcoming
Barriers
Our History
In April 2011, the idea for an individual to single-handily render services to his community was brought to an end, and an agreement was reached to transform this effort into an organized body, the African Immigrant Resource Center (AIRC). In June 2014, AIRC was ranted an Employment Identification Number (EIN), with the Internal Revenue Service, and registered with the Minnesota Secretary of State Office. AIRC’s focus and purpose is to build new possibilities and opportunities through its programs, referrals, public engagement, and innovative access to resources for African Immigrants, refugees, and asylum.
